International Disaster Mitigation Day was observed in Kishoreganj with great enthusiasm. On the occasion, a rehearsal and discussion on earthquake and fire was held at Kishoreganj Gurudayal Government College ground on Wednesday noon.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Md Nazmul Islam Sarker presided over the function. Kishoreganj Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Shamim Alam attended the programme as chief guest. Additional Police Super (Admin) Mustak Sarker, Govt Gurudayal College Principal Professor Md Jamalur Rahman also attended the programme. It was addressed among others by District Disaster and Relief Officer Sumon Chandra Debnath and Fire Service & Civil Defence Deputy Director Md Mubarak Ali. Later, rehearsals on earthquakes and fires were held.
