Parts of Bangladesh, including Dhaka, will likely be battered by rain on August 1, the day of Eid-al-Adha.
Dhaka and different districts in the country may witness light to moderate rains today and tomorrow. This rain may continue till Eid day.
"Intermittent light to moderate rain may occur across Bangladesh," a Meterology official Shahinul Islam said this on Wednesday.
He said rain may occur many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions on Eid day.
, Mymensingh, Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions.
The meteorological office also said that rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at many places over Dhaka, Northern Rangpur, Gaibandha, Nilphamari, Lalmonirhat, Netrokona, Sherpur and Jamalpur areas under Mymensingh division.
However, intensity of rain will be lower in Sylhet, Moulvibazar, Habiganj and Sunamganj areas.
Day and night temperature may fall slightly over the country during this time.
