The closing and prize distribution ceremony of Inter-Base Football Competition-2023 of Bangladesh Air Force was held at the football ground of BAF Base Bashar in the capital Dhaka on Thursday.
According to an ISPR press release, signed by AyshaSiddiqua, Assistant Information Officer of the ISPR, BAF Base Zahurul Haque team clinched the title by defeating BAF Base Birsreshto Matiur Rahman by 2-0 goal in the colorful competition.
Sergeant Mahbubur Rahman of Air Headquarters (Unit) team was adjudged as the best player. Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Admin) Air Vice Marshal Md Zahidur Rahman witnessed the final match as the chief guest . He also distributed prizes among the winners.
Air Officer Commanding, senior BAF officers, airmen and other members of the host Base were present on the occasion. Earlier on June 24,Air Officer Commanding of BAF Base Bashar Air Vice Marshal Md Sharif Uddin Sarker inaugurated the competition.
It is mentionable that, seven teams of BAF participated in this five-day long competition.
