The Inter-Base Small Arms Firing Competition of Bangladesh Air Force concluded at BAF Base Paharkanchanpur in Tangail on Thursday.According to the ISPR, Air Headquarters (Unit)) team emerged as champion by scoring 757 points out of 810 points while BAF Base Zahurul Haque team became runner up by scoring 753 points. Squadron Leader Rajib Ahmed Chowdhury, Education of Air Headquarters (Unit) team was adjudged as the best shooter by his overall performance. He scored 138 points in Rifle firing and 117 points in pistol firing.
Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Maintenance) Air Vice Marshal Sade Uddin Ahmed witnessed the final event as the chief guest and distributed prizes among the winners.
Air Officer Commanding, senior BAF officers, airmen and other members of the Base were also present on the occasion. It is also mentioned that, Air Officer Commanding of BAF Base Paharkanchanpur Air Commodore Rushad Din Asad inaugurated the competition on Wednesday. A total seven teams of Bangladesh Air Force participated in this two-day long competition.
