The International Day of Sport for Development and Peace 2024 was observed by the Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) in the city on Saturday. The global theme for 2024 is "Sport for the Promotion of Peaceful and Inclusive Societies".
To mark the day, a colorful rally began at 9:30 a.m. in the premises of the Olympic building with the rendering the national anthem.
The a rally started from the Sheikh Russell Roller Skating Complex, paraded through the High Court, Shiksha Bhawan and ends at the National Sports Council premises. Led by the Secretary General of BOA, Syed Shahed Reza, the executive committee members and officers and employees participated in the rally.
