Int’l conference on SDGs at RU on Dec 18-19

A two-day international conference titled ‘Data Science and SDGs: Challenges, Opportunities and Realities’ will be held at Rajshahi University (RU) on December 18-19.

 The conference will be arranged  by RU statistics department on the campus for seventh time where more than two hundred researchers, academicians, teachers and students from home and abroad will participate.

The department chairman Prof Ayub Ali at a press conference on Thursday. Dr Fazle Kabir, governor of Bangladesh Bank, will address the inaugural ceremony as chief guest.   Prof Ayub Ali said that a day-long pre-conference workshop on mathematical sciences will begin on December 17 where Prof Jyotirmoy Sarkar of Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, USA will address as the trainer.  The concluding ceremony of the conference will be held at the university senate building where Abul Kalam Azad, chief coordinator of SDGs in Prime Minister Office, will address as the chief guest.

Professor Ali also told that any interested academicians, researchers, teachers and students will be able to submit their research papers by October 03, and join the conference.
