MA Momin Patwari, the former social welfare secretary of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), succumbed to his injuries in the early hours of Friday at a hospital in the capital.
Advocate Rasel Mahmud Manna, organising secretary of the Lakshmipur district Awami League (AL), confirmed his death and said he breathed his last at 4:00am.
"Momin hails from Lakshmipur's Ramganj and was active in Ramganj AL politics” he said.
Momin was severely injured by "BNP-Jamaat terrorists" on August 15 at Dhanmondi 32, where he was paying tribute to Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
