A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Jamalpur University of Science and Technology (JUST) and five industrial institutions at a seminar on academia-industry cooperation on the university campus on October 3.
JUST Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Amir Hossain presided over the seminar, held at 11:30am. University Grants Commission Member Professor Dr Abdullah Al-Al-Mamun was the chief guest.
Among others, Bogra Rural Development Academy (RDA) Director General Dr Abdul Majid Pramanik, JUST Treasurer Professor Dr Mohammad Ali Hossain, Organising Committee Member Secretary Mohammad Hasan and Jamalpur Civil Surgeon Dr Mohammad Azizul Haque attended the event as special guests.
Under the agreement, JUST, RDA, ESDO, Data Soft Manufacturing and Assembly Ind. Ltd., Integrated Aquaculture Farm and Biogene Cosmetics Ltd. will work together on joint research, developing students’ industrial skills, creating skilled human resources and achieving technological excellence.
Representatives of the organisations, teachers, students and media workers were present. A discussion titled “Bangladesh in the Thought of Youth” was also held. #EK
