Professor Dr Shahab Enayet Malik, dean of the Faculty of Arts of Jammu University, India called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman on Thursday at the latter’s office of the university. Professor Dr Md Mahmudul Islam and Professor Dr Mohammad Golam Rabbani of the Department of Urdu of DU were present on this occasion.
During the meeting they discussed the possibilities of exchanging teachers and students between DU and Jammu University, India. Holding of an international conference at DU Urdu Department under the joint auspices of these two universities were also discussed in the meeting. They exchanged views about signing a MoU in this regard. Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman thanked the guest for his visit to DU and keen interest in its academic and research activities.
