Chief of Air Staff of Indian Air Force Air Chief Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria met Chief of the Army Staff of Bangladesh Army General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed at the Army Headquarters in the capital Dhaka on Monday.
According to the ISPR, during the meeting, the Bangladesh Army Chief exchanged greetings with the Chief of Indian Air Force.
The Chief of the Indian Air Force congratulated General Shafiuddin upon his taking over as the Chief of the Bangladesh Army. During the meeting, they hoped continued cooperation to further strengthen the existing good relations between the Bangladesh Army and the Indian Armed Forces.
General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed thanked the Chief of Indian Air Force for meeting him. The Chief of Army Staff recalled with gratitude the contributions of the Indian Air Force in the great liberation war of Bangladesh.
A two-member Indian Air Force delegation led by Air Chief Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria arrived in Dhaka on June 26 on a four-day official visit. The visiting delegation is expected to leave Bangladesh for home today (Tuesday).
