“So we have the same cultural. India-Bangladesh relationship is of many ages, many centuries. We were the same country at once. India-Pakistan and Bangladesh were partitioned in 1947. Later, due to Pakistan's oppression, torture, exploitation and especially attacks on language, the Bengali nation under the leadership of our great leader, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman liberated Bangladesh”, he said.
He added, “In our struggle for freedom, the noble former Prime Minister of India Mrs. Indira Gandhi was by our side. We are grateful for the way the Indian government and the people of that country stood by us that day. India gave us shelter to one crore refugees, provided arms along with training freedom fighters. Above all, we will free Bangladesh from Pakistani invaders by forming an allied army and fighting together.
He said, after 75 years, murderers Mushtaq and Zia started fostering communalism again. Through this, it has once again tried to create hostile relations between us. However, the power of the supporters of the liberation war has not only curbed that sectarian madness, but has destroyed it. That is why we are developing a wonderful relationship.
Language plays a major role in our cultural bonds. So language is the main vehicle of culture. But India and Bangladesh have much in common. Language, literature, music, painting, drama, dance, above all our human-to-human love, love, relationship; It also plays a very significant role there.
Therefore, in the relationship between the two neighbouring countries, along with political and economic relations, cultural relations should also be important. May the relationship grow from generation to generation. So the political, economic and geographical problems between these two countries.
He thinks that they will be solved. Culture is a very powerful thing. Culture plays a fundamental role in the identity of a nation. India has contributed immensely to our great liberation war. However, he called on the people of India to highlight the history of the liberation war of Bangladesh more widely.
