Independence Day celebrated in Kishoreganj

Independence and National Day was observed in Kishoreganj in a befitting manner in 26 March. 

Day started with the 31 gun-salute at the dawn. At about 8 am the School and College boys and girls participated in a colourful march past at the Shaheed Syed Nazrul Islam Stadium. A large number of people attended in the function and watched the march past.  A colourful procession was brought out from the Shaheed Syed Nazrul Islam Stadium and the precisionists paraded the roads of Kishoreganj town. The procession ended at the District Shilpakala Academy.  

A discussion meeting was held in this occasion. Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Shamim Alam presided over the meeting. Among others Police Super Masrukur Rahman Khaled, District Awami League President Advocate Kamrul Ahasan Shajahan, its General Secretary Advocate MA Afzal, Zila Parished Chairman Md Zillur Rahman, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md Nazmul Islam Sarker, Former Deputy Freedom Fighter Commander Abdul Mannan took part in the discussion. Various Social and Cultural Organisation arrange the different programme.

At the end of the discussion meeting, a reception was given to the heroic freedom fighters.
