Imrul said in a video message that he has decided to retire from Test cricket. This is the most difficult decision of his 17-year career. He took this decision after talking to his family.
However, he will continue to play ODI and T20 formats. Imrul Kayes will play for Khulna Tigers in the BPL to be held in December. He got the team from the 'B' category draft. However, he expressed his anger at keeping the BPL title-winning captain in the 'B' category.
Imrul Kayes has played 39 Tests for the national team jersey and scored 1797 runs at an average of 24.28. He has three centuries and four fifties. He has played 137 matches in first-class cricket and scored 7930 runs.
