Bogura District Administration has distributed gifts among distressed Imams and priests in the district. Bogura Deputy Commissioner Md Ziaul Haque on Wednesday morning distributed gifts at the DC office.
A total of 120 imams and priests each received Tk 1000 at the programme. DC Md Ziaul Haque as the chief guest distributed the money among all. This aid was arranged from the fund of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, officials informed.
During the programme, Additional Deputy Commissioner Masum Ali Beg, NDC GM Rashedul Islam, District Imam Muazzin Committee President Mufti Maolana Abdul Kader, joint secretary Maolana Robiul Islam, Bogura Pres Club vice president Abdus Salam Babu, Municipality Puja Celebration Committee Secretary Parimal Prasad Raj and others were present.
Deputy Commissioner Ziaul Haque said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina always stands beside the distressed people of the country. She already allotted multiple funds to help the distressed people affected by Covid-19. Imams and priests should come forward to help educating people for preventing Covid-19 infection spread.
DC Ziaul Haque in the programme urged all to wear masks and follow hygiene rules.
