Prime Minister's financial aid was distributed among the Imams and Moazzins in the Corona epidemic in Dirai upazila of Sunamganj on Monday afternoon.
Sunamganj-2 constituency MP Joya Sengupta distributed monetary aid among more than three hundred imams and muezzins at Dirai Upazila Parishad public meeting hall.
Dirai Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mohammad Safiullah, Upazila Awami League General Secretary Pradeep Roy, Vice President Advocate Sohail Ahmed, Press Club General Secretary Ziaur Rahman Liton and others were present at the time.
During the distribution Joya Sengupta, MP said, “Imams and Moazzins are respected by the society. Thinking about them, Prime Minister sent a gift of humanitarian aid”. She urged the Imams and Moazzins to pray for the people of the country including the Prime Minister.
