Corona Virus Prevention and Public Awareness Committee and Bandarban Zila Parishad member Mozammel Haq Bahadur announced on Saturday mmorning that Imams and Moazzins of 722 mosques will be provided financial in seven upazilas of Bandarban.
He added that under the Corona situation the Imams and Moazzins of the district are living with difficulties. In this situation, financial support is being provided to them by the Zilla Parishad for the purchase of essential food items. From Monday, the financial aid will be delivered to the Imams and Moazzins.
It is learned that financial support will be given to Imams anand Moazzins of 130 mosques in Bandarban Sadar upazila, 11 of Roangchhari Uppazilla, 6 of Ruma Upazila, 3 of Thanchi Upazila, 62 of Alikadam Upazila, 260 of Lama Upazila and 250 of Nayakshangchhari Upazila. A total of Tk 7,22,000 has been allocated for the financial support of Imams and Moazzins of 722 mosques of Bandarban.
