Sathia police station arranged an Iftar and doa mahfil on Thursday. Another Iftar mahfil was also arranged at Dak Bungalow of the upazila.
Former State Minister for Home Affairs Advocate Shamsul Haque Tuku spoke at the Iftar mahfil Santhia police as the chief guest. Jahangir Hossain, officer-in-charge (OC) of the police station, chaired the programme.
It was attended by, among others, Abdullah Al Mahmud Delwar, chairman of Santhia upazila parishad, Abdul Baten, mayor of Bera municipality, Mirajul Islam Pramanik, mayor of Santhia municipality, Abdul Halim, Santhia Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Sheikh Zillur Rahman, SP Circle as special guests.
Zila Parishad member Abdullah Al Mahmud Almas chaired the Iftar party at Dak Bungalow. Shamsunnahar Mukta conducted the programme.
Among others, Mozammel Haque Khan, former president of Sathia Upazila Awami League, District Council member Khorshed Alam and Abdul Hakim, Zainul Abedin Rana, President of Santhia Press Club and Prof Ashraful Alam Majnu spoke there as special guests.
