Islamic Foundation Bangladesh (IFB) distributed almirah and books among the mosques and libraries in Jhenaidah. The event was arranged at the foundation office on Monday.
IF sources said they had distributed 16 almirahs for an amount of Taka 2.40 lakh among 16 mosques in six upazilas of the district. Books of first phase of 2019-20 session under mosque and library expansion and strengthening project for Taka 1.22 lakh published by Islamic Foundation was also distributed for the libraries under the .
Presided over by deputy director of the foundation Abdul Hamid Khan, deputy commissioner (DC) Saroj Kumar Nath attended the books and almirah distribution programme as chief guest.
Assistant commissioner land in Jhenidah Sadar Khan Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun, Bhutiargati Alim Madrashah principal Abu Bakar Siddique among other remain present as special guests.
