ICT training helps youths get jobs

Collaboration needed to embrace 4IR

The relentless efforts of our government in creating new job sectors throughout the years is really commendable. Especially the incentives in IT sector which our government took to create new job fields is reaping the benefits.

The government’s ‘Hire and Train' model has created skilled human resources on frontier technology and they significantly utilizing potentials of Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR), which has ensured 80 percent job placement in IT companies.

Our government is working to develop a quality training model to safeguard job of the trainees with this ‘Hire and Train’ model. Government has plans to replicate in other training programmes of the ICT division. All these initiatives are being undertaken to tackle the challenges and potentials of 4IR.


It is very important for us to develop the new 

generation skillset so that they can adopt the 

changes and dimensions in the evolving world


We must also focus to enhance and make sure best quality curriculum in this paradigm. This will help to safeguard quality training. Government should also consider to introduce the curriculum to the educational institutions. If not then we will not be able to create required skills in the future man power, who will have to tackle the challenges of 4IR. Therefore, it is very important for us to develop the new generation skillset so that they can adopt the changes and dimensions in the evolving world.

Companies and various different industries should think of alternative strategies of running the business and change the conventional mindset. Collaboration is needed between research institutes and universities and this should be done to further propel us towards innovation and reap all the benefits of modern technological miracles.
