Young generation has been contributing to flourishing country’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector, brightening the image of the country at home and abroad by showing laudable performance in this sector.
The promising youths are not only contributing a lot towards taking forward the ICT sector but also supplementing the government efforts of building digital Bangladesh after the best uses of their competence.
The observation came at the closing and certificate-giving ceremony of a 12-day ICT-based basic teachers training course at Rajshahi Teachers Training College (RTTC) on Saturday afternoon.
RTTC organized the course in association with ‘Education Introduction in Secondary and Higher Secondary Levels through ICT Project (Second Phase)’.
More than 210 teachers from different government and non-government school, madrasha and college in the region took part in the training course in seven batches. Fazley Hossain Badsha, MP, addressed the ceremony as the chief guest with RTTC principal Prof Shawkat Ali Khan in the chair.
Assistant Director of the project Farida Yeasmin and assistant professor of the college Dr Afroza Naznin also spoke.
Badsha said the ICT is helping to reduce unemployment problems in the country and many youths have become self-dependent through outsourcing. He said the government has been extending all support to youths so that they could build themselves competent.
Badsha also said the government has been imparting ICT training to the teachers with providing laptops and multimedia projectors to all the primary and high schools and colleges to make the multimedia classrooms more effective and enriched. He told the meeting that Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib hi-tech park is being installed here that will play a vital role in boosting the current economic activities of the region by creating new technology-based employment. The park will create new employment for more than 14,000 youths both male and female here, he added.
