ICT completes probe against 17 wartime crime accused

The prosecution team of the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) has completed its investigation into two more cases filed on charges of crimes against humanity during the Bangladesh War of Liberation.

M Sanaul Haque, chief coordinator of the investigation agency of the ICT, said that they would submit the investigation reports on the two cases to two tribunals as soon as early. 

He revealed the information at a press conference at their Dhanmodi office in the capital on Monday (October 25).  

The prosecution team investigated the allegations brought against 17 persons in Kurigram and Satkhira. A total of 13 people of Kurigram were accused for their alleged involvement in crimes against humanity committed during the war of liberation, while four other accused in Satkhira. 

Law enforcers have already arrested 11 people in Kurigram, while two are on the run. Meanwhile, three accused out of four in Satkhira are absconding.
