The 3rd International Conference on Mechanical Engineering and Applied Science (ICMEAS 2025) concluded Saturday at the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), marking three days of vibrant academic and industry collaboration from 17–19 July.
General Waker-Uz-Zaman, Chief of Army Staff, Bangladesh Army, attended the closing ceremony as Chief Guest and awarded the best research papers presented during the event.
The conference was inaugurated on 17 July by Major General Md Nasim Parvez, Commandant of MIST, who served as Chief Patron.
ICMEAS 2025 brought together participants from 13 countries including the USA, UK, Canada, Japan, China, Australia, and Bangladesh. The conference provided a platform for researchers, engineers, and professionals to share recent developments in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aeronautical, and Naval Engineering, as well as Applied Sciences.
Key focus areas included artificial intelligence, renewable energy, materials engineering, industrial IoT, robotics, aerospace, hydrodynamics, thermal engineering, and advanced manufacturing. The conference featured technical sessions, keynote addresses, and collaborative discussions, promoting innovation and practical engineering solutions. ICMEAS 2025 aimed to build a global forum for interdisciplinary research and foster sustainable development. Organisers expressed optimism that the outcomes of the conference will contribute to shaping Bangladesh’s future in engineering and technology. The successful conclusion of the event cements MIST’s reputation as a centre of excellence in science and engineering education.
