How does it feel to be selected as Miss Universe Bangladesh?

I can't really find the language to express this emotion because those of us who were selected in the top 12 all deserved to be the best. No one is less in education, ability and talent in comparison. It is a pleasure to see myself as a winner there. I'm really lucky. Everyone please pray for me.

What do you think has kept you ahead than the others?

I think presentation, social activities and the ability to express myself has given me the edge. That is not to say that the other competitors are not that good. Everyone here is qualified.

You are going to represent Bangladesh on the international arena of Miss World. What are your expectations?

My expectation is to beautify the face of the country through becoming the Miss World because I came into this programme as I have a big dream. I have been preparing myself in the past few days. I have learned how to present myself with beauty and intellect which will come very handy on the stage of Miss World. I still have some time at hand. I want to learn from the experiences of the previous Miss World who have been from Bangladesh before. I want the blessings of the countrymen so that I can do something good for the country.

Who has been the most motivational for you to take part in this competition?

Of course that is my mother. From an early age, she has made me accustomed to the cultural arena. She is the one who inspired me to achieve this success today. My university also has a contribution to this too. I am studying international relations at Chattogram University. When everyone came to know that I was one of the top 12 in Miss World Bangladesh there was a massive uproar. My campus friends and peers have asked for votes for me. It has inspired me a lot on the road to becoming a champion.

Let’s hear about your family...

I have a brother, I am the elder, and my mother’s name is Sharmina Akter. She is a housewife and my Father's name is Sheikh Morshed. He passed away in 2014. He was a lawyer by profession.
