Popular illustrator Nusrat Faria is currently at home. Coronavirus has stopped her from doing any type of work. She talks about how she is spending time at home and what she plans for the future. Written by - A Mizan

How are you doing? What are you doing to pass the time?

I am eating, sleeping, and studying at home. In fact, I don’t get such time, so I am giving time to study. I am participating in the classes online. I cannot go to the gym, but that doesn’t mean I am sitting around. I workout at home.

You shared on your social media about giving away your bags, shoes and clothes…

If the current situation takes a turn for the better, then I want to give away some bags, shoes and clothing. In fact, there are so many clothes, shoes and bags that I might have worn once or a few times in my life. If I keep those then they are just being wasted that's why I want to give them to those who need it.

You are going to play the role of Prime Minister in the biopic of Bangabandhu. Tell us something about it?

I cannot say anything about this matter, the authorities have told me not to talk on this issue. When the authorities allow it I can talk on it. Other than that I went to Mumbai to fix a look for a film. I cannot say anything about that either since I haven’t signed any contract yet.

What type of response did you get from the release of 'Shahenshah' this year?

I got a good response with this film. But since the audience stopped going to the halls because of the coronavirus, it has had an adverse effect. We too feel that it was not right to release the film at this time. However, till now, the audience has given positive response. In all, I am satisfied.

Will you be seen with Shakib Khan again?

I can't say that at this moment because I have four films in my hand that are in the works. It might happen after these are finished.

How far is the progress of the films in hand?

I have finished shooting part of Dipankar Dipon's 'Operation Sundarban'. I'll be shooting the song in future. The dubbing is also left. Another photo of the same director 'Dhaka 2040' has has seven days of shooting left of the last lot. There is also a 10-day shooting in Kolkata for ‘Bhoy’.

The work on ‘Bibaho Obhijan 2’ was set to begin in May. But it is not going to happen because of the coronavirus. Meanwhile, the shooting of Shihab Shahin's ‘Jodi Kintu Tobuo’ with Apurba was scheduled to begin on March 11. Production company Z Five has stopped shooting considering everything. Unless the situation becomes normal, it is not possible to say when they might finish.

What about advertisement?

Talking to a few brands. Looks like I can tell you about signing a contract with a new mobile phone company soon. But since China is controlling everything, now it a hard time. Let's see what happens.

How far has the new music video been completed?

The song is over, the music video has also been finished shooting. But I'm not releasing it now. Now  is not the time of releasing songs. There are plans to release it if the situation is good.

What is your message about coronavirus awareness?

Coronavirus has become an epidemic. It has affected every sector not just the media. I have suffered the most. I was doing stage shows abroad and in the country. With the outbreak of coronavirus, nine of my stage shows were canceled in Dhaka and Kolkata. Other than that I have to travel to India repeatedly.

Now the flights are off. India is in lock down. I'm sitting at home. But I'm fine and adhering to cleanliness rules. This is the demand for everyone to be healthy and safe with family.
