The officers and employees of Cox's Bazar LGED held a protest rally and human chain in protest against the attack on Chittagong City Corporation Project Director and Executive Engineer Md. Golam Yazdani. Apart from protesting the incident of the Nakbar Janak attack from the protest rally, those involved in the incident were quickly arrested and demanded exemplary punishment.
On Monday from 3 pm to 4 pm, a protest rally and human chain was held at Cox's Bazar LGED building premises. LGED Cox's Bazar Executive Engineer Mohammad Anisur Rahman, Newbie Executive Engineer Mamun Khan, Senior Assistant Engineer Pratipad Dewan, Ali Ahsan, Abdul Mannan, Bane Amin Johnny, Ishtiaq Ahmed, Mamun, Maryam Khatun, Ketu Ki Rani Das and others spoke at the protest rally.
Anisur Rahman, Executive Engineer of Cox's Bazar LGED, said, I strongly condemn and protest the cowardly attack of Sahab Uddingong, a terrorist named contractor, on Md. Golam Yazdani, a very talented, honest, and dedicated government procurement policy expert. The culprits should be immediately arrested and brought under the law and the maximum punishment should be ensured.
The attack of the terrorist group of the engineers carrying the dream of building a smart Bangladesh of the Honorable Prime Minister is inconvenient. All the officers and employees present in the protest called for a clean working environment.
It is known that project director and executive engineer of LGED on the fourth floor of the temporary office building of Chittagong City Corporation in Chittagong Tigerpass at around 4 o'clock on Sunday, January 29 due to non-payment of project work. Ghulam Yazdani was suddenly attacked and physically bribed by about 20-25 contractors named Sahab Uddin Gong in his room while performing official duties.
