HP team take lead against Shaheen

Bangladesh High Performance (HP) team is in an advantageous position in the second four-day match in Darwin Australia.

Bangladesh team who suffered defeat in the first match, took lead in the first innings when Rezaur Rahman Raja and Ripon Mondal were outstanding with the bowls sharing seven wickets among them to book Pakistan team for 179 runs.  

Meanwhile, Bangladesh after batting first scored 258 in their first innings runs and booked Shaheen for 179 to take 163 runs lead. 

Bangladesh scored 84 runs for three at the end of the second day in their second innings.

Shaheens started the second day losing two wickets for 39 runs. Ripon Mondal, Rezaur Rahman Rajara after coming on attack kept the Pakistani batters under pressure from the beginning of the day. 

Omar bin Yusuf, who scored seven runs off 38 balls, was the first victim of Raja.  

Raja claimed three wickets for 33 runs in his 17 overs spells. 

Ripon Mandal captured four wickets conceding 77 runs in 24.2 overs. Hasan Murad and Maruf Mridha joined the celebration with taking one wicket each.  

Kamran Golam was the highest scorer for Pakistan Shaeen with 48 runs off 75 balls.  Taib Tahir scored 30 runs off 73 balls, Omar Amin scored 25 runs off 48 balls.

Bangladesh lost opener Parvez Hossain Emon, who scored only seven runs when the other opener Mahmudul Hasan Joy was unbeaten on 39 runs off 78 balls at the end of the day.  

Amit Hasan scored 25 runs from 61 balls and Hasan Murad was out for a duck just in the first ball.
