Police recovered the hanging body of a housewife at Raninagar upazila in Naogaon on Wednesday morning. The deceased was identified as Shefali Begum, wife of Haijit of Bishiagram at the upazila.
Shefali’s family alleged her in-laws used to torture her for dowry. A general diary was also filed in this connection. They alleged that Shefali was murdered over dowry.
Haijat said that Shefali’s body was found hanging from a tree in the morning. Later, taking down the body, he informed police, he added. OC of Raninagar Police Station Jahurul Haq said the body was recovered from the spot
