A Horse race was held at Dhamairhat in Naogaon on the occasion of Victory Day-2020 at the initiative of Dhamairhat Upazila Press Club on Tuesday noon.
The race was held at Shekhaypur ground in Umar union of the upazila. The huge field was filled to the brim to see teenage horse rider Tasmina,
pride of Dhamairhat and the only female horse rider in the Northern part of the country.
Upazila Press Club senior journalist MA Malek presided over the programme while Upazila Awami League President and former Upazila Chairman Md. Deldar Hossain was present as the chief guest.
Dhameirhat Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Sohail Rana, Police Station Officer-in-Charge Abdul Momin, Freedom Fighter Abdur Rauf Mandal and others were present as special guests at the event.
At the end of the race, Farhad Hossain, a 6-year-old horse rider was announced as the winner while, Tasmina won the second round.
