Holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi was observed at Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) with due respect and religious solemnity.
On this occasion, CVASU authority arranged a two-day-long programme with various religious and cultural events on September 15 and September 16.
Among the events, there were Holy Quran recitation, Azan, Hamd -Naat, speech competition on the life of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Islamic calligraphy, self-composed poetry, and quiz competition. The students of CVASU spontaneously participated in these events.
The matter was informed through a press release by CVASU Senior Deputy Director Khalilur Rahman (Public Relations and Publication Office) on Wednesday.
A discussion was held at CVASU auditorium. Professor Dr Mohammad Rashedul Alam, Director of Directorate of Students Welfare, presided over the programme. Maolana Rahim Uddin, Muhaddis of Al Jamiatul Arabia Nasirul Islam Nazirhat, popularly known as Nazirhat Boro Madrasa, spoke at discussion as the chief speaker. He discussed various aspects of the vivid life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Besides, Acting Vice-Chancellor and Treasurer of CVASU Professor Dr Md Kamal also spoke at the discussion.
Teachers, officials, staff and students from various faculties of CVASU attended the programme. Awards were distributed among the winners of various competitions after the discussion. Later, students organized an Islamic cultural programme at the evening.
