Ashura, a holy day for the Muslims was celebrated amid various programs at Nabogram Imam Bari in North Channel Union of Faridpur Sadar Upazila on Sunday.
Khadem Yunus Ali of Nabgram Imam Bari Darbar Sharif said, "We formed 9 teams on behalf of our Darbar on the occasion of Ashura, that traveled various areas in the last 10 days and took part in the Tazia procession”.
Devotees from far and wide also came to Imam Bari to take part in the Ashura Tazia procession. This year, due to the corona pandemic, the procession was shortened and mourning was held at the Durbar Sharif, he added.
Meanwhile, on the occasion of Ashura, a huge fair of various items was held at the Imam Bari Darbar Sharif.
