State Minister of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Ministry Junaid Ahmed Palak MP said that high speed internet service will be launched soon in hilly and remote areas of Cox's Bazar including Qutubdia St. Martin.
He said these things while visiting Cox's Bazar post office and BTCL's exchange office and Teletalk's customer care center on Sunday.
Palak further said, “Every post office in the country will be converted into advanced, modern, smart post office. At the same time, the government is working to improve the service quality of BTCL and Teletalk. Government officials of Post Office, BTCL and Teletalk were present during the inspection. Earlier, the Minister of State inspected the telemedicine department of St. Martin's 20-bed hospital and the ongoing St. Martin Sub-Post Office reconstruction work under the Department of Posts' project entitled "Renovation or Rehabilitation of Dilapidated Post Offices". He left Cox's Bazar by air at 6 pm after the 2-day tour of Cox's Bazar.
