There is a possibility of heavy rains across the country in the next few days. Moreover, there is a danger of flood in the northern part of the country due to the monsoon rainfall.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain across the country for the next five days from today. However, the amount of rainfall in the south could decrease.

According to the met office, the monsoon weather is currently ongoing in the country and is moderately active in the North Bay.

In the next few days, Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barisal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions are likely to experience temporary gusts of wind and rain along with moderate to heavy showers in many parts of the country. Meteorologist Abul Kalam told Bangladesh Post that Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet are likely to experience an increase in rainfall.

“Rainfall is likely to increase. We are already experiencing some rainfall but in the next few days, clouds could cover more areas and intensify in terms of showers,” he said.

According to the Flood Forecasting and Warning Center for the next 10 days, the water level in the rivers around Dhaka may rise but not crossing danger level. However, in some northern parts of the country, there are possibilities of flood considering the water levels of the rivers in the next few days and how rainfall contributes to it.
