Healthcare improves a lot under AL govt

Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque MP said that the quality of health services in Bangladesh has improved the most during the tenure of the current government. The government has brought health services to the doorsteps of common people. He said that no patient of Bangladesh will take treatment from the hospital floor. All patients will now receive treatment from hospital beds.

The minister said these things while inaugurating the newly constructed modern external building at Cox's Bazar District Sadar Hospital on Thursday afternoon. Meanwhile, the Minister also said that the newly constructed building of Cox's Bazar District Sadar Hospital has been expanded to make a modern cardiac care unit here. Besides, there is a plan to upgrade the Cox's Bazar District Headquarters Hospital to five hundred beds. He said that Cox's Bazar Medical College Hospital would be commissioned soon.

Health Ministry Secretary Anwar Hossain Hawladar, former Secretary Habibur Rahman Khan, Additional Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commissioner Samchuddouja, UNHCR's Cox's Bazar Regional Head Yoko Akasaka, District Awami League President Faridul Islam Chowdhury and many others spoke.

The construction is funded by UNHCR.
