Health safety equipment distributed in Magura

Four local NGOs and voluntary organizations, working in Magura, distributed relief good and health safety equipment among 348 cleaning workers who have been affected by coronavirus.

The four organizations namely SWC, Isado, Aparajita and ASD Bangladesh gave rice, pulses, oil, potatoes and detergents to each of them at the District Shilpakala Academy auditorium on Saturday.

Global Alliance for Incinerator Alternatives provided financial assistance. Magura Deputy Commissioner Ashraful Alam was present at the chief guest at the event with Magura Municipality Mayor Khurshid Haider Tutul in the chair. Addressing the programme, DC Alam said the cleaning workers paly role in protecting the environment. 

So, all must work together to ensure adequate remuneration and health protection for these workers, he added.

Abu Imam Baker, Executive Director of the voluntary organization Isado, Sabina Yasmin Mary, Executive Director of SWC and Sakibul Hasan Tuhin, Municipal Councilor spoke among others.
