The risk of Coronavirus infection is being increased among people since only a few are following the health and hygiene rules while visiting the cattle hat at Shibpur under Nabinagar upazila of Brahmanbaria.

It is learnt, without following health and hygeinic rules, thousands of people are thronging at the market for selling and purchasing sacrificial animals set up at Shibpur plyground. As a result, the risk of Coronavirus infection among those people has been increased alarmingly.

After visiting the sacrificial animal market on Friday noon this correspondent noticed no one was maintaining social distance at the market and many of the people at the market were not even wearing masks.

Even, at this large cattle market, there was no sufficient arrangement for washing hands though the number of Coronavirus patients at the upazilas of the district was increasing rapidly.

Meanwhile, local conscious people have expressed anger at the arrangement of the market for sacrificial animals without maintaining the minimum health rules. They demanded a strict vigilance from the local administration to ensure proper health rules and social distancing at the market.

Leasees of sacrificial animals at the market informed, it was hard to ask every one to maintain social distance and wearing of mask. But, upazila administration was instructing every one to maintain social distance and to follow health rules through microphones at the market.

Masum. Upazila Nirbahi Officer of Nabinagar in this connection informed the local administration has directed the leasees of the cattle market to arrange the market by maintaining health rules.

Even, if the leasees do not follow the instructions, he would again talk to the concerned authorities to maintain proper health rules at the market.
