Health and Family Welfare Ministry pays tribute to Bangabandhu

On the occasion of the 47th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the National Mourning Day-2022, officials of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare paid tribute to Bangabandhu's tomb at Tungipara, Gopalganj.

On Monday afternoon, Dhaka Divisional Director (Health) on behalf of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Under the leadership of Farid Hossain Mia, utmost respect was paid by placing floral wreaths at the altar of Bangabandhu's mausoleum in Tungipara.

At this time the principal of Gopalganj Sheikh Saira Khatun Medical College Dr Md Zakir Hossain, Director Dr Manowar Hossain, District Civil Surgeon Dr Niaz Mohammad, president of Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) Gopalganj branch. Moin Uddin, General Secretary Dr Humayun Kabir, assistant director of Gopalganj 250-bed general hospital and project director of Sheikh Saira Khatun Medical College Asit Kumar Mallick, Deputy Director (Retd.) Chowdhury Safiqul Alam, Assistant Professor of Sheikh Saira Khatun Medical College Sheikh Abdullah Al Mahmud, Civil Surgeon Dr Sakibur Rahman along with other officials and employees of Gopalganj Health Department were present.

Later, after reciting the holy Fateha and Darood, they all prayed for the souls of Bangabandhu and all the martyrs who died in his family, and prayed for the good health and long life of Bangabandhu's daughter, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Also, on the occasion of the day, Gopalganj BMA and SWACHIP presented wreaths separately to the medical leaders.
