Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) Affairs Minister Bir Bahadur Ushwe Sing, MP, has said that the headmen and karbaries are playing vital role in development of the country alongside the role in protecting law and order in CHTs.
He lauded the role headman and karbari in other sectors and said that Headman and Karbari are playing a significant role in in land management in the hilly districts. The CHT Affairs Minister said these while speaking at a view exchange meeting with headmen and karbaries of Thanchi in Bandarban on Friday.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Thanchi Ariful Islam Mridul and executive engineer of Bandarban unit of CHT Development Board Abu Bin Md Yeasir Arafat were also present at the event.
