There is nothing more important than basic education to build a better nation and improve human resources. This is because primary education plays an important role in the development of intelligence and human quality. By introducing such a large number of students to teacher crisis and keeping them without a head teacher for such a long time, we introduce the ultimate neglect in the field of education.

In a recent report, it was clear that nearly 29 thousand primary schools are operating without a head teacher. The reason for this has come in the form of administrative complexity. Many teachers said that many schools are getting fewer teachers than needed. However, they have to go to the Upazila Elementary Education Office or the District Primary Education Office for at least ten business days for official work. If there are four teachers in a school, and one goes away to an education office then there are only remaining three teachers to take classes of pre-primary grade up to class five. Needless to say, due to the vacancies of the headmaster, there is no limit to their suffering in this case.

Cases have been lodged

by teachers aspiring

promotion but are not getting

it due to mistakes in the gradation list

It has been reported that there have been multiple cases in High Court with the promotion of teachers. All these cases have been lodged by teachers aspiring promotion but are not getting it due to mistakes in the gradation list. Also, the problem of promotion to the post of head teacher is not going away. If someone is temporarily appointed head teacher from among the teachers, other teachers do not want to accept them in many cases. Giving rise to various questions—Why should his leadership be followed? Various legal complications have also been observed with this. Therefore, without solving the complexities of hiring head teachers, this problem will not be solved.

Our Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) number 4 aspires ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education for all. To guarantee growth and development for the fulfillment of this it is erroneous to keep such a huge number of head teachers’ posts left empty. This is essential to be solved as soon as possible.
