Hamza shines through, Shamit due today

Just hours after stepping off the plane from England, star midfielder Hamza Choudhury, wasted no time in integrating with the Bangladesh national team. After landing in Dhaka on Monday morning, Hamza took a brief rest at his hotel before heading straight to the National Stadium for a training session at 5 PM the very same day.

Hamza's arrival brings the squad closer to full strength, with another star midfielder for Bangladesh Shamit Shome is expected to join from Canada on Wednesday. The Bangladesh national football team's camp for the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers on June 10th began on May 30th, with 24 out of 26 players reporting.

Hamza's immediate dive into training after a long flight demonstrates a level of dedication that can only benefit the national team as they prepare for crucial upcoming fixtures.

Despite the significant fan interest – with crowds gathering near the stadium bus hoping to catch a glimpse of the new arrival – security measures meant most were left disappointed.

This was Hamza’s first training session at the National Stadium, and  coach Javier Cabrera opted for a closed-door session, keeping media presence to a minimum.

However, several federation officials and stadium staff were present. Even with the closed-door policy, the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) provided photos and videos of Monday's session.

This isn't the first time Hamza has shown a rapid commitment to the national setup. Before the match against India, he arrived in Bangladesh and participated in a single evening training session at Kings Arena before the team departed for India the very next day.

The squad then trained for five days in India before playing the match. He returned to England the day after returning to Bangladesh on March 26th.
