Hamza’s debut for Bangladesh delayed

The most coveted debut of Hanza Chowdhury for Bangladesh in November turned uncertain when the Leicester City booter had an injury. 

Hamza Chowdhury, who has completed most of the formalities to play for Bangladesh, got the bad news that he may be ruled out for next few weeks due to his shoulder injury.

Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) highly expected that Hamza would be available for Bangladesh national team in the FIFA Window in November.

BFF and Hamza have already been completed almost all papers, Bangladesh passport, NOC from Leister City and FA eligible to play for the Bangladesh national team. But when the BFF waiting to overcome the last hurdle of FIFA permission, the injury news of Hamza came as a bolt from the blue.

Meanwhile, Hamza the 26-year-old footballer from Leicester City expressed his desire to represent Bangladesh at the international level and had applied for a Bangladesh passport in June and the BFF has also completed almost all the process but only waiting for the FIFA permission of making Hamza eligible to play for the Bangladesh national side.  

Hamza, who played for England Under-21 national side, had an injury during a practice session with the Leister City, as the club’s coach Steve Cooper informed.  

Cooper said, “It’s something a major blow, hope it would not be not so serious. We are now working with that. But don’t know how long it will sustain. Right now it’s difficult to say whether it would take one week or one month to come round.”

“I respect his journey, as he is very popular, player like him is very important for any club,” Cooper added.
