Detective Branch (DB) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested seven drug traders in separate raids in capital's Jatrabari and Mohammadpur areas.
DB also seized huge illegal drug including 500 gram of ice (crystal math) and 63,000 yaba pills.
Talking to the Bangladesh Post, Deputy Commissioner of DB’s Gulshan Division Moshiur Rahman confirmed it.
He said DB Gulshan Division raided in Mohammadpur and Jatrabari areas and arrested seven people.
A total of 63,000yaba tablets, 500 grams of ice (crystal math) and a private car were recovered from their possessions.
He said the recovered drug ice is known as Crystal Meth or D Meth to the drug addicts.
It is a nerve stimulating drug. Ice is an expensive drug that is extremely frightening, irritating and has serious health risks.
This drug increases hormonal arousal in the body many times than that of normal times, resulting severe physical and mental damage, the boss of Gulshan DB added.
