Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) and district administration will jointly build green parks and playgrounds for the public on the near of Karnaphuli river in Chattogram with pledge to stop river pollution.
Parks and playgrounds will be constructed in a joint initiative of Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) and Chattogram District Administration to prevent misappropriation and river pollution in the open public private land along the Karnaphuli river.
Chattogram City Corporation Mayor M Rezaul Karim Chowdhury visited the place proposed by the district administration in Firingibazar area on Wednesday morning.
Deputy Commissioner Abul Basar Mohammad Fakhruzzaman urged the CCC Mayor to cooperate in the construction of a green vast park and playground on Khas land on the banks of the Karnaphuli river.
Meanwhile, CCC Councillor Hasan Murad Biplab, local people praised the activities of building playgrounds and parks as a long-standing demand of the people of this area. The residents demanded the city corporation to implement this program quickly.
CCC Mayor said that by protecting the Karnaphuli river on the special land of the district administration, a vast green park and playground will be built as soon as possible to enjoy the beauty of the river and to give sports opportunities to children and teenagers.
Deputy Commissioner Abul Basar Mohammad Fakhruzzaman said, starting from RS survey to Hal BS survey, parks and playgrounds will be built on the open land along the river to prevent illegal encroachment on Khas land along the Karnaphuli river. The open green zone and park will be a special attraction for the city dwellers.
Recording in the name of the district administration to meet the recreational needs of the city dwellers in government private land; This initiative has been taken to prevent misappropriation of this open area on the banks of the Karnaphuli River by the initiative of Chattogram Deputy Commissioner Abul Basar Mohammad Fakhruzzaman to provide an opportunity to enjoy the immense beauty of the Karnaphuli River and to create sports opportunities for children and teenagers.
