Administrator of Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) Khorshed Alam Sujan inspected the city's canals and drains on Tuesday. He also visited Kapasgola School on foot from Muradpur.
During his visit, he said any corruption in urban development would not be tolerated. He urged everyone not to dump dirt in canals and drains as well as sought the cooperation of the city dwellers in resolving the water crisis at the time.
He directed the concerned parties to take immediate steps to remove the logged water where there was obstruction in the movement of water. He also instructed the concerned engineers to repair the rain-damaged road ditches at a fast pace.
Private Secretary of Mayor Md. Abul Hashem, Chief Cleaning Officer Shafiqul Mannan Siddiqui, Supervising Engineer Kamrul Islam, Executive Engineer Farhadul Alam and Deputy Chief Cleaning Officer Morshedul Alam Chowdhury was present during the visit.
