A day-long “Eye Camp, Diabetes Screening and Awareness Program 2022” was organized on Saturday for the employees of GPH Ispat at Kumirastha Plant, in collaboration with Lions Club of Chattogram City, Leo Club of Chattogram Dynamic City and Leo Club of Port City District 315 B-4.
In the speech of the Chief Guest, Governor of Lions District 315 B-4, Lion Sheikh Shamsuddin Siddiqui, PMJF referred to the global service of Lionism on children's cancer, hunger, diabetes, adverse effects of the environment, etc.
Mohammad Almas Shimul, Additional Managing Director of GPH Ispat reminisced and said, I worked for the victims as a Leo during the 1991 cyclone. Later I joined Lionism.
"He vowed to do more humanitarian work in the future, including conducting medical camps for women by past gynaecologists at GPH.In the event, about 241 workers were given prescriptions after eye examination and diabetes check.
The program was presided over by Lion Rajesh Chowdhury, Lions Club of Chattogram City.
