State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Md Zakir Hossain Friday said the present government is working to provide legal aid services to poor people through information and communication technology (ICT), reports BSS.
For this reason Legal Aid Offices were set up in 64 districts, the state minister told a view exchange meeting with members from Legal Aid Committees in Rowmari upazila in Kurigram district as the chief guest.
Zakir Hossain said information and communication technology does not meant computer only. We can send our messages to the people by mobile phone, he added. With deputy commissioner of Kurigram Sultana Parveen in the chair, the function was addressed, among others, by District and Session Judge Munshi Rofiul Alam.
