Extortion, kidnapping and the spread of drugs are increasing in Rohingya camps coupled with all kinds of terrible crimes day by day.

The locals are restless about and fearful of the Rohingyas. Civil society of Cox's Bazar has demanded that the Rohingyas be transferred to other districts or other countries, including Bhasanchar, until they are repatriated.

It is to be noted that Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal told reporters after the 26th meeting of the Standing Committee on Home Ministry of the 11th National Assembly of the Deputy Commissioner's office that action will be taken against kidnapping and terrorist activities in Rohingya camps.

In the meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Home Affairs, the minister also said that legal action should be taken against the real drug dealers through investigation.

DM Rustom, one of the civil society leaders in Cox's Bazar said, a part of the Rohingyas who came to this country have now become the owners of huge amounts of money, they are involved in various crimes, so they need to be removed from the country immediately.

Cox's Bazar Combined Citizen Movement Council President Professor Moinul Hasan Chowdhury said that some of the Rohingyas sheltered in 33 camps of Ukhia-Teknaf are scattered in different parts of the country. As a result, they are a threat to the entire country as they dominate the camps and increase terrorist activities. There are kidnapping, fighting and drug dealing.

Although the date of repatriation of Rohingyas was fixed twice on January 23 and August 22, 2018, no one returned but they made the situation more complicated by adding new conditions.

The repatriation process has failed because of false promises and conditions by Myanmar. Before this, no Rohingya returned to their home country despite all arrangements for repatriation by the government twice. On the contrary, the new conditions were added, and the Rohingya repatriation was plunged into darkness.

International organizations have become a big obstacle to repatriation. Mainly, international organizations are secretly carrying out anti-repatriation activities using various domestic NGOs. Due to this, the demands of not going back are coming up among the Rohingyas.

International organizations continue to say that there is no environment for the Rohingyas to return to Myanmar.

Meanwhile, police of Cox's Bazar Sadar police station arrested more than 700 Rohingyas who were on their way to the 2nd phase World Ijtema to be held in Tongi, Gazipur. The OC of Sadar Model Police Station said that 19 buses carrying Rohingyas were seized from Baitun Noor AmanJame Masjid in Cox's Bazar Adarsh village area following information that Rohingyas were leaving for Gazipur by bus from different camps of Ukhia and Teknaf.

Along with the fear of abduction, there is also tension throughout the camps. 15 Rohingyas have been abducted in the last few days. Among them, 6 people have returned on payment of ransom. The rest are still held hostage by criminals.

Due to the increase in terrorist activities, the Bangladesh Army, APBN and Police continued the joint operation. Bangladesh Army, APBN and Police arrested Salim alias Yahya of the top leadership of the Rohingya terrorist organization and also three members of the terrorist organization Arsa.
