Govt primary teachers recruitment result after Eid

Published : 01 Apr 2024 10:12 PM

The evaluation process for the third phase of recruitment of assistant teachers for government primary schools has commenced. According to the Director General of the Directorate of Primary Education, Shah Rezwan Hayat, the announcement of the exam results will take place after Eid-ul-Fitr.

Hayat mentioned that although the evaluation has begun, there's limited time available before Eid. With only two days left next week apart from the current week, there's concern about potential delays in sending answer sheets to Dhaka from certain districts. This situation makes it unlikely for the results to be published before Eid. However, it's anticipated that the results will be promptly released once the office resumes after the Eid holidays.

The third phase examination, held on March 29, spanned across districts in the Dhaka-Chittagong division. Simultaneously, written exams took place in 414 centers within these divisions, with approximately 350,000 candidates participating.

In the previous phases, written examinations were conducted in 22 districts across three divisions on February 2. The results of the second phase were announced on February 20, with 20,647 candidates passing. Additionally, in the first phase held on December 8 of the previous year, written exams took place in districts of the Rangpur, Barisal, and Sylhet divisions. A total of 9,337 candidates passed the first phase written exam, and after the oral examination, 2,497 candidates were selected for appointment.

The public is eagerly awaiting the outcome of this recruitment process, which is crucial for addressing the shortage of teachers in primary schools. Stay tuned for further updates on the post-Eid announcement of the exam results.
