Govt losing revenue for illegal power connection

The government is giving crores of money to Bangladesh Railways every year and this subsidy has to be given due to some dishonest officials and employees.

They are embezzling millions of taka every month by providing illegal electricity connections to various shops including Dinajpur, Setabganj, Thakurgaon railway station, government quarters, private slums, railway public toilets. Not only that, in these areas, the railways have been renting abandoned quarters to non-government people and illegal electricity connections have been provided. As a result, millions of money of government revenue are being lost every month.

Illegal electricity connection scattered to the Dinajpur Railway Mosque as well as the Imam's house inside the alley. Chowkidar Milon Illegal Government Quarters in the Office of the Senior Deputy Assistant Engineer Way (SSAOE), as well as two more Government Quarters Illegal Electricity Connections were given to multiple easybikes. 

There are also 2 blocks of illegal electricity connection next to it. Illegal electricity connection to about 19 houses from a railway electric pole in Sanatan Dharmambali village west of the railway line. Multiple illegal electricity connections from Thakurgaon SSAOE employee Mo Wahed's government quarters to the slums next to it, to multiple shops through site lines from there. 

And with all these illegal electricity connections, millions of taka are being withdrawn every month, said Headmaster Mohammad Ali Hossain Khan. 

When asked about raising money by connecting illegal electricity in Bangladesh Railway Dinajpur, Setabganj and Thakurgaon, Senior Deputy Assistant Engineer (SSAEEK Parbatipur MG) Mohammad Dewan Peyarul Haque said, Didn't I know nothing. As he said that all these illegal electricity connections will be cut off in the mountains, necessary legal action will be taken as per the notification of Bangladesh Railway.
