The government has declared a general holiday on April 9 (Thursday) in the areas concerned of Bogura and Sherpur districts on the occasion of by-elections to two vacant parliamentary seats.
The Public Administration Ministry issued a notification in this regard on Wednesday.
According to the notification, the decision was taken as per the Rules of Business, 1996, following a request from the Bangladesh Election Commission Secretariat.
The vacant Parliamentary seats are Bogura-6 and Sherpur-3
