Gopalganj SP promotes beat policing at monthly meeting

A special law and order meeting has been organized by Gopalganj Sadar Police Station at 1st bit of Jalalabad union of the upazila in order to promote bit policing in the area.

Gopalganj District Superintendent of Police Ayesha SiddiqaPPM spoke as the chief guest at the special law and order meeting on Saturday afternoon.

Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Mohammad Khairul Alam and Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Gopalganj Sadar Police Station Mohammad Monirul Islam addressed the function as special guests under the chairmanship of Union Awami League President and UP Chairman M Suparul Alam at Jalalabad Union Parishad Complex No. 1 on Saturday afternoon. .

Freedom fighters of Jalalabad Union, teachers and guardians of various educational institutions including schools and madrasahs, UP members of different wards of Jalalabad Union Parishad and other dignitaries of the area were present at the time.

Chief Guest Superintendent of Police Ayesha Siddique called upon all to work in unison to expedite the bit policing activities. She suggested using masks and follow hygiene rules to deal with Covid-19. In addition, she also discussed about the steps of Gopalganj police of its regular awareness programme to prevent dengue fever, keeping the house clean and tidy, planting more trees, taking precautions to prevent water borne diseases in the rainy season, stopping theft, robbery, snatching, drug prevention, child marriage, eve-teasing, domestic violence during Covid-19 period. 

Police Super also highlighted the continuous campaign of Gopalganj Police to raise awareness as part of the mosque-based campaign on behalf of Bangladesh Police.
